About Me

Hey there, my name is J. T. Spencer and thanks for visiting my site. In addition to my love of writing, I love running, consider myself a coffee snob (no, that doesn’t mean I like fancy coffee drinks, I just like coffee that tastes good) and consume wine on the daily.

Before publishing my first book, I spent time in the military playing with ammunition and explosives. I did a couple tours oversees experiencing different cultures and ways of life. I’ve also met a lot of people and its from those shared experiences that I write fiction.

Fiction, especially science-fiction, has always been a place to escape. A way to look at the world through a new lens and see what could be possible. Gene Roddenberry wrote revolutionary inventions into the script of Star Trek. I watched those episodes as a child dreaming of the day when those futuristic technologies would be reality. It’s my hope that someone will say the same about my writing one day.
